CELESTIAL MUSIC AWARDS VOTING PROCESS

The process kicks off with members and artists submitting their entries, which are then reviewed to ensure they meet the eligibility criteria and are placed in the correct categories. Next, our expert voting panels, made up of industry professionals who work behind the scenes and in the spotlight, get involved in two key stages:

First, they nominate the top five finalists in each category. Then, they join forces with our audience to vote for the ultimate winners of the CMA awards.

Entry and Eligibility

Gospel recording artists and parishes from the Celestial Church of Christ submit their best recordings and music videos from the past year. Our independent panels review each entry to ensure it meets the necessary qualifications and is placed in the right category (like urban contemporary, music video of the year, or instrumental).

Screening

Our panels review each entry to ensure it’s eligible and in the correct category. This isn’t about judging the artistic or technical merit – just making sure everything is in order.

Nominating

Approved entries are sent to our panel members, who listen and view the submissions to ensure the best ones move forward.

Audience Voting

In some categories, our members and the public get to vote alongside our panel members (or solely, in some cases).

Final Voting

Panel members vote in all categories, and we combine those votes with the audience votes (where applicable).

Results

We tally the votes without any human interference, and the entry with the most votes wins!

Winners and Nominees

Winners receive a CMA Award, while nominees get a Nominee Certificate. Winners also agree to our terms and conditions before receiving their award statuette.
